
FACILITIES
➢ Parking
The Institut has visitor's parking facilities. Cost for parking is $12. This is payable using a token that can be obtained from the main entrance (Gingras pavilion).
➢ Cafeteria
The cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the Gingras pavilion. It is open to both patients and visitors.
Opening hours:
- Monday to Friday: breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30, lunch from 11:30 to 13:00, dinner from 16:45 to 18:00;
- Saturday, Sunday and holidays: breakfast from 8:00 to 9:00, lunch from 11:30 to 13:00, dinner from 16:00 to 17:45.
➢ Snack bar
The snack bar is located next to the cafeteria. Stamps are sold at the cash.
Opening hours: from 8:30 to 19:00, Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 to 18:00 on Friday. Closed on weekends.
➢ Gift shop
The gift shop is located on the ground floor of the Gingras pavilion, next to the cafeteria. There, you will find toiletries, sweets and small gifts.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 to15:00.
➢ Video library
The video library is located on the ground floor of the Gingras pavilion next to the physiotherapy ambulation room. Patients can borrow films free of charge from a selection of over 1300 titles.
Opening hours: Monday and Thursday from 15:30 to 17:30. Films can be returned at any time using the film return slot.
➢ Library
The library is located with the video library on the ground floor of the Gingras pavilion, near the physiotherapy ambulation room. It offers more than 400 French or English titles.
Opening hours: Monday and Thursday from 15:30 to 17:30. On Tuesday evenings, a library cart does the rounds of the rooms.
➢ Recreational activities
Many times every week, the recreation services organize evening activities such as shows, games, movies, discussion groups, etc.
It also provides advice and companionship to those who would like to take up sports or leisure activities. The recreation activities office is located in the Gingras pavilion, on the side of the Lindsay pavilion entrance.
Opening hours: 9:00 to 17:00.
➢ Pastoral services
Pastoral services provide accompaniment, a friendly ear and spiritual exchanges and services through the respect of religious freedom, the celebration of the Eucharist, the spirit of forgiveness and catholic communion; periods of prayer and reflection are held according to current events and at appropriate times of the year. Spiritual documents are also available.
Chaplain Luc Laurence is available from: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 15:00 and Sunday from 8:00 to 12:00. His office is located in the Gingras pavilion, room S-328 (basement). Telephone: 514 340-2085 ext. 2235.
Mass: at the Lindsay pavilion, Sunday at 9:30, and Monday and Wednesday at 15:15 (the chapel is located on the 2nd floor across from the main elevators); at the Gingras pavilion, Sunday at 11:00 and Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00 (the chapel is located on the ground floor, next to the main elevators).
➢ Hairdressing salon
The hairdressing salon is located on the 2nd floor of the Lindsay pavilion. Private hairdresser services are also available on appointment. The phone number is posted on the care unit bulletin boards.
➢ Washer and dryer
Many laundry rooms are available in the establishment for your convenience. This service is free of charge. A dispenser provides detergent at a reasonable price but, you may bring your own detergent should you wish to do so.
➢ Documentation centre
The documentation centre provides reading material focused on physical medicine and rehabilitation. Patients and their families can consult the materials on site or borrow them. The staff can help you find the information you need.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:30.
