➢ Generous Gift: a "Segway" !

The Foundation was pleased to receive a generous gift for the Institute, a “Segway” device, from Marie-Claire Bourque, Director of Sales for Segway Canada. This gift has certainly made, Daniel Normandin, orthotic-prosthetic technician, very happy since he will now be able to move more efficiently from one pavilion to the other to serve patients of the Institute. Mrs. Bourque have all of our gratitude for her generosity and kindness. |

This is Ms Caroline Pouliot, CPA CA, Manager Treasury and Business Support, at Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada. The 10th and last winner of the 2012 edition of the "Draw - Just Imagine..." is Mr. Fernand Lafleur, a Board of Directors' member of the Institute for over 25 years ! He receives a certificate of 2 000 $ redeemable from a retailer of his choice. Mr. Lafleur chose a travel agency and will visit beautiful Norway ! Congratulations to him and many thanks to the seller of the ticket, Ms. Caroll Boulay. The tickets for the third edition of the Foundation’s annual draw “Just Imagine…!” are on sale. Each ticket cost $ 150 and entitles each participant to 10 draws throughout the year from june 2013 to March 2014. What can you win ? A certificate of $2 000 redeemable from a retailer of your choice (electronic shop, travel agency, furniture store, etc.). All proceeds will go to creating a garden at the entrance of the Gingras Pavilion. Help us reach our goal. Talk to your family and your friends! Hurry ! Only 400 tickets on sale. ➢Casino Royal: A Great Success!
The first fundraising event of the Rehabilitation Institute's Foundation "Casino Royal" was held on October 11 under the patronage of Peter D. Thompson, Senior Vice President Sales and Service at National Bank of Canada.
With the support of participants and numerous sponsors and donors, the Foundation has raised $ 50,000 for the acquisition of two high technology equipment intended primarily for rehabilitation research.
More than 250 people walked the red carpet to attend the event under the special effects designed by Moment Factory. Among the celebrities present include the participation of Penelope McQuade, who came to tell her experience at the Institute and the presence of rock singer Jonas.
The Foundation wishes to thank all the sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers who contributed to the success of the evening.

➢Internal Campaign "Je donne pour nous !"

The Foundation unveiled on October 4th, the winning logo for the internal campaign « Je donne pour nous ! ». The winner is Sylvie Demers, psychotherapist for the Neurology Program. She receives a check for $ 100 and the Foundation undertakes to pay another $ 100 to a fund of her choice. |

➢ Reporting on l’IRGLM
The Foundation and the Institute worked together to develop a partnership with Mrs. Penelope McQuade, popular Radio-Canada television Host, who was a patient at the Institute following a severe accident in May 2009. The latter, as a Great Friend of the Foundation, has kindly accepted to participate at a photoshooting event with other patients and employees of l’IRGLM. The photo series was created by Nancy Dubé, photographer and occupational therapist at l’IRGLM. Click here to view all the photos of the session.
