
➢ $275,000 for a CAD-CAM System
These funds were used for the acquisition of a CAD-CAM System (Computer Assisted Design
and Computer Assisted Manufacturing System) to produce orthotics and prosthetics. The
chosen system is very versatile and even allows the production of protective helmets and cranial
orthosis.

➢ $22,000 for "Réadaptation double "
The Foundation has awarded last December, two $ 6,000 bursaries to winning teams of
"Rehabilitation double" contest, a competition aimed at bringing researchers and clinicians
to work closely on clinical issues. In addition, two bursaries of $ 5,000 each will be awarded
to two other teams.

First winning team: Physical Health Program's team with Michel Fortin, Executive
Director of the Foundation.

Second winning team: Spinal Cord Injury Program's team with Michel Fortin,
Executive Director of the Foundation.
➢ $95,000 to consolidate clienteles
The purpose of this project is to merge client programs between the two pavilions. It
focuses on technical support, information systems, patient services and property development.
The objective is to create an optimal environment for the practice of interdisciplinary rehabilitation.

➢ $110,000 for Technical Aids
These funds were used to purchase two specialized trucks. These trucks are used for the Emergency
Corrective Maintenance Service and make it possible to pick up or repair on the spot wheelchairs or
three- and four-wheel electric scooters that have broken down due to mechanical or electronic failure.
This service is provided to clients across the island of Montréal.

➢ $200,000 for the deployment of SAGEs
A SAGE (Specialist in the Application and Generalization of Expertise) is a knowledge broker who promotes the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the services offered. The SAGE facilitates the transfer and application of knowledge, promotes collaboration between researchers and clinicians, and encourages the development of decision-making skills based on convincing evidence. This donation will allow the IRGLM to assign SAGES to each of its 4 programs.

This is a project to attract, recruit and retain several physiatrists, general practitioners and specialized medical consultants in an effort to maintain exemplary quality and safety in the rehabilitation services offered to IRGLM clients.

➢ $25,000 for teaching
This project to write an article on the merger between the Institut de réadaptation de Montréal and Lindsay Rehabilitation Hospital will be published in scientific journals, in collaboration with Université de Montréal. It will present the knowledge and skills acquired during the development of the merger plan as well as the results of the project.

➢ $50,000 for health intervention and technology assessment
This funding supports the development of activities related to the IRGLM’s health intervention and technology assessment program (HITAP). The project identifies effective technologies and reduces or eliminates the use of interventions that are unsafe or cost-ineffective.

➢ $20,000 for client programs
This project is designed to offer specialized and ultra-specialized training to IRGLM professionals based on the particular needs of the Institute’s clienteles. This allows the IRGLM to consolidate its high-quality services and best practices, and remain at the cutting edge of advancements in rehabilitation.

➢ $10,000 for the Peer Visitor Program
The Fondation de l’IRGLM agreed to become the Institutional Sponsor for the Amputee Coalition of Canada to help with its national and international development. The Peer Visitor Program allows a new amputee to meet someone who has been an amputee for over a year and who has successfully reintegrated socially and professionally. This is a pan-Canadian program.
