An orthosis is an orthopedic device that corrects or supports a part of the body to:

Most orthoses are paid for by the RAMQ when prescribed by an authorized specialist (orthopedist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, rheumatologist, physiatrist, geriatrician, pediatrician, plastic surgeon).
In some cases, they can be covered by the CSST, the SAAQ or personal insurance.

Your orthosis is covered by a manufacturer's warranty that varies according to the type of orthosis. During this period, the institution that provided you with the orthosis is responsible for ensuring that the warranty is honoured by the manufacturer.
Beyond the warranty period, any adjustment or repair will be covered by the organization that paid for the orthosis (RAMQ, CSST, SAAQ, etc.).

We can also fabricate made to order orthoses to optimize correction or support. They are generally made from thermoplastics or molded leather and allow for, among other things, the treatment of more severe conditions.
