The technical aids department of the Institut de réadaptation Gingras-Lindsay-de-Montréal (IRGLM) can supply you with many technical aids that are adapted to your needs:

• prostheses;
• wheelchairs;
• wheelchair repair;
• emergency corrective maintenance of wheelchairs;
• orthoses;
• plantar orthoses;
• shoes;
• posture aids;
• communication aids.

Furthermore, the technical aids department manages the Ministerial program for the allocation and repair services for mobility aids (3-wheeled scooters, 4-wheeled scooters, walkers, adaptive tricycles and bicycles).

Finally, the Institut is host to the Centre régional d’information, de démonstration et d’évaluation des aides techniques (CRIDEAT). (Regional Center for information, demonstration and evaluation of technical aids)

The cost for most of the technical aids we supply is covered by one of the following organizations:

• Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ);
• Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ);
• Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST);
• Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale (MESS).
